How is the impact of social isolation and COVID-19 affecting you?
We have all had to deal with rapid and unexpected change in our daily lives due to COVID-19.  Every day we are facing new circumstances which may result in job loss, compromised health, or added stress due to social isolation or challenging dynamics in the home or workplace.

So, how are you coping?

If you are feeling unsettled and anxious you may benefit from the support of a coach to help you talk through the challenges, and discuss what you can do to support yourself through these times.  When we are stressed, it is often much more difficult to think and act clearly, or make decisions that are well considered.

A one-to-one coaching conversation can:
  • Help you identify your biggest areas of concern right now
  • Clarify your priorities as a result of the changes
  • Offer you different strategies to healthfully manage the challenges you are experiencing, positively and practically.

You can benefit from affordable “Coach & Cuppa” catch-ups via a phone or video call, a regular check-in to connect and receive support for your mental and emotional wellbeing.

A “Coach & Cuppa” catch up looks like this:
  • A scheduled 20 minute coaching call for just $20.
  • Or  two coaching calls per week for $15 each.
  • Receive FREE five-minute daily check-ins after your initial coaching call.
Please note: these prices are available for a limited time, to assist those who are experiencing financial hardship due to the impact of COVID-19.

It’s reasonable to expect that many people are feeling overwhelmed and even surprised by their own response to the unexpected changes.
Act now to give yourself the best possible support during these times.

To make a booking, contact me on 0432 969 763 or send an email to: Rebecca@livingwithspice.com

I am here to support you.
Choose to stay well, now and in the future.

Dear friends,

We are living in uncertain times where each day is bringing new information about the coronavirus and the impact on our community.  We are dealing with self-isolation, social distancing, job loss, and tension from having to relocate our work environment to home, which is now shared with other members of the family.  Some people are experiencing financial hardship, challenges in relationships, and mental and emotional stress of not knowing what is going to happen next.

The changes are significant, unexpected and they have come quickly, so many people may not feel prepared to cope. Sudden change can create fear that also triggers deeper questions around our identity, purpose and our direction in life.

As we head into unknown territory we can quickly realise we don’t have a roadmap to navigate the challenges, or the tools to adequately support us for our ongoing health and wellbeing.

The Power of Soul Loving is a practical guide for anyone ready to embrace these personal changes and transformation.  It shares meaningful wisdom and insights to help you understand the changes taking place, and how to best manage your mental, emotional, physical and spiritual wellbeing.

Managing the outer storms of life is challenging enough, however we also need to know how to manage the inner storms we experience when going through personal transformation.  This can effect anyone, regardless of our background, cultural heritage, economic history, age or demographics.

In this practical guide,
  • Discover how to move from immobilising fear - to living with courage and a deep love and acceptance of self.
  • Learn how to manage your energy, for mental, emotional, physical and spiritual wellbeing.
  • Recognise the power of choice and how to transform challenges into opportunities.
  • Activate your creative genius for abundant living.
  • Discover how to choose trust over control, and master the mental grip of your inner storms.

The power of soul-loving enables us to embrace change so that we can transcend from fearful and powerless to loving and powerful.

In this time of crisis, it’s important we commit to taking care of our wellbeing, by learning how to recognise the signs of transformation, healing and growth, and how to support ourself through difficult times of significant change.

As the landscape of our life shifts we may notice aspects of our being that were previously unseen or ignored, which we are now drawn to re-evaluate or change going forward.

The Power of Soul Loving - A Spiritual Guide to Love and Freedom offers shared insights, guidance, reflections, exercises and meditations help you to navigate the way through your own transformation, so you can experience healing, growth and clarity for the way forward.

In light of the financial challenges many people are experiencing at this time, I am offering a personalised signed copy of this book for $15.00 AUD (RRP $28.95) to anyone in Australia who sends me email to Rebecca@LivingWithSpice.com

Alternatively you can purchase a paperback or ebook online at www.thepowerofsoulloving.com
or from Amazon.com, Amazon.com.au, BarnesandNoble.com, Booktopia.com.au or TheBookDepository.com.

Blessings to you,

So, now you're working from home?

Life has changed with the coronavirus and many of us have now moved our office to home for an unknown period of time.  How can we make a healthy transition and still stay connected?

Business owners and entrepreneurs have probably got this all sorted.  However, as a newbie in this space, in Week One I've discovered a few tips that can help make this a more successful transition.

Establish good habits:

  • Maintain a consistent routine each day. Set your alarm to get up at the same time, as if you are travelling to work.  Use the extra time and opportunity to go for a walk (if permitted) before your day begins. Physical movement gets the brain and body integrated, oxygenated and alert.
  • Separate your work area from your home living area. This helps to create a balance of energy and a defined area to concentrate on your work, as well as a place to relax that's not associated with your work.
  • Log in to your workspace the same time every morning. Routine and structure helps to increase productivity and create accountability for yourself and your colleagues during work hours.
  • Take your 'full' lunch break away from the workspace so you are rested and replenished. If you have the opportunity, go outside for fresh air and move around. Stick to the scheduled lunchtime in your calendar so your colleagues know when to expect you back at your desk.

Staying connected to increase inspiration, motivation and mental wellbeing.

Some of us are happy in our own space, and energised in the quietness of our own company. However, others thrive on connection for inspiration and motivation. We are social beings, and so connecting with others is important for our mental and emotional wellbeing.

If you are feeling isolated or lonely without your colleagues close by for that quick chin-wag, coffee-break or office walk-about, schedule a few minutes during your day to connect with a 5 minute phone call, or catch up over a video conference call for a team huddle.

Be smart with your time. This is a great opportunity to practice your organisational skills, as well as your communication skills.

Your workspace:
  • Where possible, position yourself near natural light and fresh air, such as an open window. This will energise you and help you to think more clearly.
  • Use a comfortable chair, desk and screen that is ergonomically set up for good posture and mental focus. Avoid sitting slumped on the couch, bed or floor, so you don't end up with aching muscles in your back and neck.
  • Add a few items to your work area that make you feel good eg: an indoor plant, a favourite photo, or even crystals to create good energy around your work space.
  • Keep your desk free of used plates and cups, and unnecessary clutter. A clear space helps to create clear thinking.
  • Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated and to avoid headaches & afternoon fogginess.
  • Eat healthy snacks regularly and avoid junk foods, to maintain your energy and to feel alert.
  • Get up from your desk every 30-45 minutes to stretch and move around.
  • Take your full break at lunch-time and move away from the work area
.  Now that you are eating at home (and not at the local cafe), plan healthy lunches you enjoy, rather than settle for stale boxed leftovers or the dregs at the bottom of the fridge. Think of the money you are also saving!
  • Finish your workday at the same time every day. Pack away your laptop and paperwork (as you would in the office), as a sign that ‘work’ has finished for the day.
  • Now relax. Move away from your workspace to switch your focus after a productive day.

Lastly, exercise self-compassion and kindness toward others during these unusual times as we manage the restrictions we are experiencing during the coronavirus pandemic.  Using common sense for your health and wellbeing will help to keep your spirits raised and ensure your productivity whilst working from home.  It's also important we stay connected through alternative means, so we can continue to support each other and maintain a sense of hope and normalcy.

What WFH tips have you discovered this week that work for you?

Possibilities vs Inner Anguish

17/3/2020

It's when we feel stuck and it feels as though we can no longer see the trees from the forest, believing there are no more viable options, that the pain of our inner discomfort and mental anguish can take us to the brink of 'sink' or 'swim'.  At this point we realise, enough is enough. Now is the time to take action, even if that is to ask the question, what next?

One of the most important lessons I have learned is looking at life through a different lens to what I have always been accustomed to doing.  It’s difficult to change what is well embedded and familiar.  Often, we are conditioned from an early age to think, feel and see our world in a particular way.  Our upbringing and our environment can have a significant influence in shaping our perspective and the way we see and interpret people, places and events.

Our perception of life is truly a gift to ourself.  Our reality, our experience of life, is how we think about it.  Two people can be in the same scene, experiencing the same event, and have a completely different perspective, with different interpretations of what is taking place.  With different perspectives, and alternative meanings, it can either open or close doors to new possibilities and opportunities.  It all depends on how we choose to see and experience our world.  Do we see a greater vision with fresh opportunities for growth, expansion and learning?  Or do we see only obstacles that limit our options?

Is it time to give back to you?

Have you experienced moments of confusion in your life? Have you felt low in energy and enthusiasm, with a loss of direction and self-confidence?

Seeking spiritual guidance and emotional support is not an admission of defeat or submissive surrender. It’s an act of self-love.

Sometimes life can feel tough, challenging, and the way forward is not always clear. We can feel fear rise up and we may not know what to do with it, so we suppress it or act out in ways that doesn’t serve us well. As a result we can experience sleepless nights, bouts of anxiety and even illness and injury.

Self-love is self-care. It’s about recognising when we need support and then doing something about it.

There are times we may need a leg up, someone to talk to, someone we can trust to listen and understand more deeply how we are feeling.

And there are times we can benefit from spiritual guidance to help us see, feel and understand the soul lesson we are experiencing and how we can move our way through it.

With a card reading and soul coaching, you can learn to recognise the signs and guidance that God, the angels and spirit guides are giving you, to help you let go of what’s holding you back, remove the mental and emotional blockages, begin the process of healing, and start fresh on your path to health and wellbeing.

We are all here to experience life and do the inner work of soul  growth that leads us toward love and happiness.  We are not here to be perfect, and someone else cannot live our life for us. However we can certainly benefit from the wise counsel of the Divine.

If you would like a personal tarot & oracle card reading or a coaching session to receive spiritual guidance and support for your current circumstances, then please private message me or email
Rebecca@livingwithspice.com
I am a happy to answer any questions to assist with your initial enquiry.

Your life, your happiness and your wellbeing matter.  Rather than accept stagnation and unhappiness in your life, choose to experience more love and let go of the burdens you have been carrying for so long.
